Assistant Planner Head

Purpose of the Job:


The Assistant Planner Head is responsible for overseeing the financial planning process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial plans, and driving team performance to achieve business growth. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and operational efficiency to maintain discipline, accountability, and professionalism within the team. The Assistant Planner Head will act as a key support to the Planner Head / CEO, ensuring seamless execution of financial planning activities, team development, and business tracking.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  1. Financial Plan Execution:
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and delivery of financial plans.
    • Monitor the status of financial plans, goal reviews, and action plans.
  2. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Drive team performance through clear communication, accountability, and motivation.
    • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and training of new planners.
  3. Business Growth & Tracking:
    • Track business potential, prospect conversion, and meeting cadence.
    • Ensure accurate updates in Zoho CRM and other tracking tools.
  4. Operational Efficiency:
    • Simplify and streamline onboarding processes for new clients and employees.
    • Provide tech support for team tools (internet, mobile, Trello, etc.).
  5. Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of meetings, forecasts, and progress updates.


Key Deliverables:

  1. Monthly Financial Plan Status Reports
  2. Goal Review/Financial Plan Completion Metrics
  3. Prospect Conversion and Business Growth Reports
  4. Team Performance Metrics (Meeting Cadence, GR Meeting Percentage, etc.)
  5. Onboarding Process Improvements and Documentation
  6. Accurate Updates in Zoho CRM, Trello, and Other Tools
  7. Quarterly Team Development Plans and Training Modules

 

Mandatory Educational Qualifications and Skillsets:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Certification in Financial Planning (e.g., CFP, NISM, or equivalent).
  • Skillsets:
    • Strong understanding of financial planning, estate planning, and tax planning.
    • Proficiency in financial tools like Zoho CRM, Trello, and Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of direct equity, insurance, and forecasting.

Desirable Certifications, Qualifications, and Additional Experience:

  • Certifications:
    • Advanced certifications like CFA, CA, or MBA in Finance.
    • Certification in estate planning or tax advisory.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in financial planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of managing teams and driving business growth.

    • Conduct quizzes, discussions, and internal meetings for team development.
