Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Manager to be the Second-in-Command (2IC) in the organization, working closely with the leadership to drive business strategy, ensure operational efficiency, manage teams, and oversee investment advisory services. The ideal candidate should have a strong financial product background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multi-functional teams while ensuring business targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
1. Second-in-Command Leadership
- Act as the right hand to the management in decision-making, business strategy execution, and overall firm operations.
- Provide strategic inputs to optimize business processes, client servicing, and revenue generation.
- Step in for the leadership when required, ensuring seamless business continuity.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of financial advisors, relationship managers, and operational staff.
- Set and monitor performance targets, ensuring team members meet their revenue and client acquisition goals.
- Conduct training and upskilling programs to enhance team knowledge on investment products and financial markets.
3. Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Manage and oversee high-value client relationships, ensuring seamless financial planning and investment advisory services.
- Support the team in handling key clients, resolving escalations, and offering expert investment recommendations.
- Ensure superior client satisfaction through proactive engagement, portfolio reviews, and risk management strategies.
4. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive AUM (Assets Under Management) growth, identify new business opportunities, and expand the client base.
- Work closely with the team to cross-sell investment products and maximize revenue streams.
- Conduct financial awareness programs, investment workshops, and client engagement activities.
5. Operations & Process Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow between advisory, research, compliance, and back-office teams.
- Ensure timely execution of client transactions, investment processing, and reporting.
- Optimize internal processes to enhance efficiency and minimize operational risks.
6. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Act as the central point for coordinating between sales, advisory, operations, and compliance teams.
- Align client requirements with investment strategies, operational execution, and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with the management team to develop and implement scalable business strategies.
7. Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Strong expertise in mutual funds, insurance, equity, ETFs, PMS, AIF, international funds, and asset allocation.
- Provide investment guidance based on market trends and economic analysis.
- Ensure portfolio optimization, risk assessment, and strategic rebalancing for client investments.
8. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure the team follows SEBI, IRDAI, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and investment compliance documentation.
- Prepare business performance reports, risk analysis, and financial dashboards for senior management.
Key Requirements
- Educational Qualification: MBA (Finance) / CFP / CFA / CA or equivalent.
- Experience: [X+] years in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, and operations management.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving business targets.
- Strong expertise in financial markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to acquire, manage, and retain HNI & UHNWI clients.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
