Job Role: Team Lead – Financial Planners
Reports to: Management / Directors
Experience: 3–7 Years (Min. 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role)
Core Objective:
To lead a team of financial planners in delivering world-class advice, ensuring operational rigour, and driving business growth through technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Plan Approval
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve complex financial plans, ensuring accuracy in direct equity, insurance, and tax forecasting before delivery.
- Goal Stewardship: Monitor the lifecycle of client goals, ensuring that review meetings and action plans are executed on schedule as per timelines.
- Expert Advisory: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Financial Planning, Estate planning, Risk management, and Investment strategies.
2. Team Performance & Accountability
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on "Meeting Cadence" and "Goal Review (GR) Meeting Percentages."
- Discipline & Ethics: Set the standard for punctuality and professional ethics. Address team underperformance immediately with decisive corrective actions.
- Smart Delegation: Assign client cases and tasks based on team member performance metrics and skill levels.
3. Business Growth & CRM Management
- Conversion Tracking: Monitor the sales funnel from prospect to client conversion, ensuring the team maintains high engagement.
- Data Integrity: Enforce strict usage of Zoho CRM AI and other applications for real-time tracking of business potential and workflow status.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on plan completion metrics and business potential.
4. Talent Development
- Onboarding: Oversee the technical onboarding of new planners to get them "client-ready" quickly.
- Mentorship: Foster a high-performance culture through weekly technical discussions, quizzes, and quarterly training modules.
- Process Innovation: Proactively identify inefficiencies in the planning workflow and implement streamlined solutions.
Key Deliverables
- Monthly Metric Sheets: Completion rates for Financial Plans and Goal Reviews.
- Business Growth Reports: Prospect conversion rates and meeting cadence logs.
- Team Development: Documented quarterly training progress for all junior planners.
- Operational Efficiency: Updated and simplified onboarding and workflow documentation.
Educational & Skill Requirements
The Essentials
- Academic: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Certification: CFP (Certified Financial Planner) Certified Wealth Manager, or NISM equivalent is mandatory.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Zoho CRM, Trello, and MS Excel.
- Experience: 3–7 years in financial planning; proven track record of managing a team.

- Advanced Degrees: MBA (Finance), CA.
- Specialized Certifications: Financial Planning, Estate Planning, or Tax Advisory certifications.
